Paris - September 22-28, 2025

Join me in the City of Light to explore the challenging and rewarding genre of street photography. Our experience together will include group discussions in which we will consider different styles, ways of working and approaches to street photography, as well as image sharing, group photo walks, one-one photo walks, and personal time for each participant, if they desire, to photograph on their own. We will also take advantage of opportunities to practice cityscape photography.

Limited to six guests, this workshop begins with an introductory dinner on the first evening, and concludes on the evening of the sixth day with a closing dinner. The first and seventh days, then, are essentially travel days. The registration fee of $4850 includes workshop tuition, six single-occupancy hotel nights, all meals during the workshop, (excluding alcohol), beginning with dinner on day one and concluding with dinner on day six, transportation during the workshop, and gratuities for local guides. (As your workshop leader, I do not expect or accept gratuities.) Couples and friends traveling together can share a room at a $800 discount per person.

Not included: airfare to destination city, transfers between airport and host hotel, morning and noon meals, passport and visa fees, if applicable, travel insurance, which is recommended, but not required. A deposit of $1,000 is payable upon registration, with the balance due 90 days prior to the workshop. For more information, or to register, contact me at mark@schumannphoto.com, or call me at 505.901.2544. Client Reviews:

“Mark was proactive, asking me about my own photography and what I wanted out of our excursion, and offering hands-on tips the entire time.” - Matt

“Spending the day with Mark was a pleasure. He is an engaging, intelligent and talented man. I am a novice photographer and learned a great deal about the functions of my digital camera as well as photo composition in landscape photography.” - Philip

“My husband is a past-pro and now hobby photographer, and I have some (but limited) photography experience. Mark did a great job of meeting both of us at our ability and comfort levels. He was able to switch between working with my husband and his mirrorless DLSR and me and my iPhone when I got tired of shooting with my DSLR! Mark checked in with us on what we were interested in shooting, and customized our site visits accordingly.” - Stephanie
