“Awesome doesn’t even begin to tell how great this was!”

I wish there were more stars to give Mark for this amazing tour! I learned so much...The places he took us were amazing plus he shared tips on using my camera buttons/settings, how to compose great landscape photos, how to edit my photos to make them even better and web resources for use later. He was a great person to spend time in the car with on the way to the beautiful sites as he was charming, funny, bright and had great stories. My husband joined as a guest and found the whole thing great even though he was just looking, listening and watching. Well worth the money as Mark is very patient and generous with his time.

“Native Lands Tour”

The tour was wonderful and Mark had everything arranged from tour guides to meals. We stayed in some nice hotels and in a great two bedroom bungalow in Monument Valley with a perfect view of the Monument Valley skyline. Mark is a great tour guide and offers photographic help to those who need it. He discussed different compositions of the scenes we were shooting. The tour was busy but not too strenuous for an old lady like me. You will enjoy any tour with Mark. He is very personable and a really great guy.

My husband and I spent five days with Mark Schumann photographing a wide variety of amazing sites in the Santa Fe area. Mark was an excellent photo guide. Mark knows and loves this beautiful region and enjoys sharing it with others. He's an accomplished, professional photographer, but also a natural teacher who helped each of us build on our skills in composition, camera settings, and post-processing. We were visiting the Taos/Santa Fe area for the first time and wanted a chance to photograph areas we wouldn't be able to find by ourselves. Mark provided an entire day of wonderful photographic opportunities. From landscapes around the Rio Grande to areas around Ghost Ranch, Earthships to deserted shacks, churches to collections of roadside memorabilia. At each stop, Mark provided insight and knowledge about how to capture the moment. He was able to help all of us - from those with higher-end cameras, to me with a point-and-shoot, to the person drawing sketches. We couldn't have asked for more.

“Photography from dawn to dusk”

I spent two days touring with Mark Schumann to take landscape photographs around Santa Fe, Taos, the Rio Grande, Los Alamos and Ghost Ranch. We started at 5:00 the first day to get a sunrise near Los Alamos and finished with a stormy sunset on the second day. Mark is a good guide and coach, and I learned or refreshed a number of photography skills. The icing on the cake was an introduction to someone in Santa Fe who spent three hours with me using Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance some of the images I had taken over the two previous days. Excellent value and great fun.
